Zyven

Born June 19, 1987, in Willimantic, Connecticut, Zyven’s journey through music began long before he ever stepped behind a microphone. From the age of seven, he grew up navigating foster homes and group homes—experiences that shaped the person and artist he would ultimately become.

At 14, Zyven began taking vocal classes while learning to play instruments such as the trumpet and keyboard. Music quickly became more than a passion; it became an outlet, a form of expression, and a way to process the emotions and experiences he carried with him.

By 16, Zyven had discovered another side of his musical identity, pursuing DJing at college parties and developing his skills behind the turntables. Just two years later, at 18, he expanded into radio, hosting shows and DJing on Houston hip-hop station The Beat. Those early experiences helped build the presence, versatility, and connection with audiences that continue to define him today.

Music isn’t about pretending the difficult moments never happened. It’s about turning those moments into something meaningful.

Now a husband to his wife, Luna, and a father, Zyven draws inspiration from both his past and his life today. He uses music as a form of therapy, transforming pain, struggle, love, growth, and real-life experiences into songs that speak from the heart.

For Zyven, music isn’t about pretending that the difficult moments never happened. It’s about turning those moments into something meaningful. His goal is to create music that people can feel, understand, and relate to—music that reminds listeners they aren’t alone in whatever they may be going through.

From foster homes and group homes to radio, DJing, and recording music, Zyven’s story is one of resilience, self-expression, and finding healing through sound. His music is his testimony—and every song gives his fans another piece of the journey.
